It's been a while since I've done this, was wondering what am I missing? A local telco is demanding a 1 and the area code. It's a simple setup with trunk group 1 containing the local lines, group 10 are the IP trunks. So I go to Form 22, Mod Digit Form and type in a new entry, QTD "1", Digits to insert "1608" and I add a comment. Then I browse over to Form 26, show strings, and find the entries that will need the extra digits. I assign those to a new Route. Then finally I go to Form 23 to define said route. I set the Trunk Group to 1 and MOD Digit Entry to match the one I created earlier with the digits inserted, etc.

Calls go thru fine using the new route, but the digits are not inserted. The phone company still asks for 1 and the area code. I was positive this is how I've done this before, did I miss something stupid? Thank you in advance for any wisdom.

Monitor smdr to make sure of what digits are being sent. In maintenance.

That sounds correct... You say that the calls seems to get to the Telco, but is rejected for no area code?

Do any of your form 22 entries strip 4 digits?

Are you positive that you refer to the right Mod Digit entry in form 23?

In form 26, you're pointing to a ROUTE and not to a LIST?

I would try an extreme test, like modifying digits so that calls to a certain number are re-routed to my cell phone. Then, as Western suggests, look at the SMDR and see what gets outpulsed.
