When we try to call a long distance number it just keeps ringing. We are calling Admirals offices and they have a huge staff in which someone should be able to pick up. We are not even getting their voicemails. We have Executone phones and we have to press 8-9 to call and outside party. Its only happening on Long Distance calls. We can call local and ext. to ext. all day long. If I sit and try over and over I get a call through. Other than that it just rings. I'm using 8.1, not sure if it's a setting or card issue.

Is the Admirals office the only LD you have a problem with? Have you contacted your LD carrier?

Do you have analog or T1? Are you using ARS? Does your long distance carrier require a 'pick code'?

IT's the whole building having the trouble. It's like when I call a long distance number 10 times in a row I may get through 4 of the times. Other times it just keeps ringing. I don't know what ARS is.

I understand its the whole building. Have you talked to your Long Distance provider? It sounds like it could be a routing problem with them.
