This evening sx-50 console started ringing with all alarm lights once flashed and now it keeps ringing. It is showing time & date and Night is on. No button works on console not even after rebooting system couple times, the console starts ringing once power is on and do not stops. The Night works fine with Auto-Attendant connected. Calls seems to go through.

Is console having some fault and need to be repaired/replaced?

Has any work been done on the system or wiring? Have you tried to plug into the system directly using the jack on the main control card?

Yes, I tried to unplug jack from main control card after this happened but it made no difference. As soon as i plug back in, it starts ringing non stop. As far as any work or rewiring, no nothing done in years. The system is plugged in on UPS. The 4 incoming lines and 4 outgoing lines are connected to VOIPO Phone adapters for last 4 years.
There was an incoming call which got transfered to an extention and may be 2 seconds later it happened.

If everything else in the system is working, it may be a bad console. That's the easiest to try. If not the console and you don't have "critters" munching on the wiring, then it could be a bad control card. That's the big module that everything plugs in to. If you are not a Mitel tech, then it may be time to call a dealer in your area for help.

Actually I forget to post that it started working after I hooked it up in the morning and it started ringing again so I pressed and released status button maybe 10 times and it went back to working normally. I don't know what was the reason it started misbehaving in the first place but I can report it is back to working normally for last 2 days.
