I think a notification option is found under My Stuff -> Watch Lists. There is a data field under My Preferences that looks like it needs to be check marked.

Try it and post if it works...or doesn't.

If you want to get a text message, use your mobile carrier's email to SMS gateway. Most people don't know about them.

Had to go on the Internet archive to find the page on Wikipedia, it has since been removed for whatever reason. Regardless, the addresses still work.

Click here for the list of addresses.

I use this feature for getting voicemail notifications from my Asterisk VoIP server when I'm away from home. I just get the email as a text from (I have AT&T so this will vary) 410000001 (or something similar). You CAN reply to them to carry on a conversation if you want, should the sender be an actual person.

Thanx for the link. Just had a look at the carrier I use and they want $10 / month for the service. Guess it's not a part of your monthly plan with them..

Regards,

I would think it would be included with your SMS texting plan... Guess not. I'm not familiar with New Zealand's providers.
