We have a couple of questions and we stand up this Magix unit.

Question 1)
We will be using a Merlin Magix with a Verizon T-1 PRI circuit. We have a 100DCD module. They offer both AT&T and Custom protocols for the circuit. Which should we tell them we need?

Questions 2)
We will be getting 77 DIDs from Verizon. Is that supported using just a single T-1?

Question 3)
We have two cabinets with following cards:
Main Chassis
--------------
Slot 0 - Processor
Slot 1 - 412 TDL
Slot 2 - 016 T/R
Slot 3 - 016 T/R
Slot 4 - 100DCD
Slot 5 - Merlin Messaging 6-port

Expansion Chassis
----------------------
Slot 0 - 016 T/R
Slot 1 - 016 T/R
Slot 2 - empty
Slot 3 - empty
Slot 4 - empty
Slot 5 - empty

We will have 16 digital phones (4424+) and 60 analog (single line phones). Is there a specific order the modules need to be installed into the slots?

You will want the protocol to be 5ESS, AT&T Custom

You can have as many numbers as you want come in on a PRI, it's just a matter of routing the calls based on the incoming digits. The easiest way is for the extension numbers to match the digits being sent by the phone company.

If this is a working system, DON'T change the order of the cards, except to add any new ones in the first available slot at the end. Otherwise, the order listed is just fine. You only have 12 digital extension ports according to the list you posted. IF you add another 412-TDL card, it will go in slot 2 of the 2nd cabinet. Through renumbering, you can put any extension number on any port, so the digital cards don't have to be next to one another.

If it's a new install put the messaging in the slot to the right of the last card
