MICS 2 DS cards on main system 3 DS cards on expansion 18 trunks 11/2001 Rel. 9 Norstar flash Square key
I have a client with several lines ringing at reception and other extensions. They need some lines programmed to go straight to voice mail instead of ringing out. The line(s) are set at 8 rings on the reception extension. Where is this setting in the older programming? A. Configuration, 1. Line Data ... [Show], Show Line: [enter line] From there what would I need to do to send calls to the AA with fewer rings? Those particular lines that we want to change do not appear on other extensions. I do not know the voice mail pilot extension yet.

You would actually go into the Line Admin on the Auto Attendant and set the number of rings to "0" - Auto Attd to answer & setup the appropriate Greeting Table - Remove the Ring & Appear from all phones for each line you want to go straight to voicemail & set to appear only so you don't get the single chirp ring before Auto Attendant picks up.

Thanks all. Caller ID was not needed. AA was already going to the right place, just needed to set rings to 0 in each line.
