I have a question about our consoles. We are running 3 Attendant consoles v3.004. They are all right in the same area, and I would really like for them to all mirror the same information. Since our system doesn't automatically update and show VM boxes on the consoles, I have to go and manually add them in. Once I update one console, I then have to copy the chhetah.mdb file to the other 2 consoles for them to make sure they all are mirrored perfectly. Does anyone know of a way to make the consoles talk and automatically mirror the stations?

Have you tried resynching the consoles after adding the new extensions/mailboxes?

You can also program the console software to requery the DB on startup.

What is wrong with just hitting the console system refresh button? That seems like the quickest way to do this instead of trasferring a file around the network.

The consoles don't refresh all of the mailboxes. The non-associated mailboxes do not update. If you check the box to have them automatically update, then it causes other problems. Inter-tel told us that there is no way around this. The technician showed me how to copy the cheetah.mdb file to all 3 consoles so they would be consistent. I am just thinking that there has to be a better way. Our old comdial system was able to sync all 3 consoles.

Thats odd. I setup some non-associated mail boxes and did a console refresh and they all showed up. I am running the same system versions as you. What other problems is the "get mail box information" setting causing?

If your issue is that non-associated mailboxes don't show up automatically, you have a database corruption issue w/ the PBX. The only fix I know of is to save the PBX and voicemail databases including all the voice recordings and then defaulting the PBX. Restore DB's and voice files and you should be able to see unassociated MB's.

This is a bug in the system software that I have encountered at customer sites before. I assume that you have hundreds of phantom mailboxes. Inter-tel has never really fixed the bug and the easiest solution that we found was to associate a phantom ext to the mailbox.
