I know this has been addressed before, but I'm not searching right.

We are retiring an Axxess System (10.3) with Enterprise Messaging. Some users want some saved messages exported to them (they no longer have those phones).

I need to be able to retrieve their old messages AND Convert them to a usable format, like .WAV or .MP3.

For some reason when I try to use EM to email to them all they get is an empty .eml.

Can I get a response here please?

I thought you could do this but it's a pain.
You have to look at the running avdap, have the user listen to the message you want to save so that you can identify it, then you could save that message file to a floppy disk, then convert it with some program - if you search in these posts you can find it.
I don't think I ever got it to work.

Do you have record a call and VM to e-mail on the new system or on you office system? if so set up a co to sl across the two systems and call into the old system get into the mailbox hit record on the new system phone and capture it that way, have it e-mail to you and you can forward it.... just a though I have done it several times when we replace an axxess or IDS with a 5000 and they need to keep stuff from the old.

Yea, I would just setup vmail to email temporarily, setup 1 mailbox that SMTP forwards out, and have the users forward any stored vm's to that box.
