I own a Intertel GLX system. I have been trying to reprogram speed dial 001 for the last several days. Following the user manual instructions, I have been pressing the speed dial button while on-hook, then attempting to punch in 001. When I do, as soon as I press the 1st "0", the system beeps 3 times and displays "invalid entry". I can re-program the 1 digit speed dials - no problem. What can I do to try to get the sysytem to cooperate? I have tried turning off the power and then re-starting w/o success. Any help would be appreciated !

Are you turning on the program switch on the right side of the key service unit ?

The other day I was looking @ the key service unit...The switch for program was in the "off" position. I turned it to the "on" position and attempted to re-program - no good. Maybe I should power down the KSU and then turn the switch to "on" & then reconnect to power?? This phone is about 15 years old, but has never had this problem before.

..............I have also recently added Plantronics wireless headsets to the phones. Is there any chance that this addition is creating a block to programming?

no on the headsets, and the prgm switch is for system programming not speed dial programming. Are you at station 10 when trying this programming? station 10 is the only station that can program system speed dial (001 - 030)

'test-ok' is correct. You must be at staion 10 for system speed dials wich are 001-030. Each station can do their own personal speed dials wich are 1-9.
The program switch has nothing to do with system speed dials, make sure its off.
