Anybody got a cheat sheet on networking two SL1100 systems together?
Location A: 6 lines, 8 phones. Location B: 4 lines, 6 phones. Location A will have the voicemail for both (If I can). Customer is setting up a VPN.
I'd like line appearances from both on all and some common DSS?BLF keys.
Programming steps would sure be appreciated.

I know that the actual connection of the 2 system takes about 2 minutes. It was so easy I thought that I messed up.
I do know that they need unique extension numbers at each site. The DSS keys just work as long as the extension number are right.
The one issue I did run into is if you use park, there is about a 3 second delay between pressing a park key and it turning green/red.
I used separate lines like you so I did not get into the programming of that.
Since you are using a VPN you should be able to connect to both systems from 1 site. That will save you time driving. I budgeted a whole day to set up my 2 site system but I was out of there in far less time.

I do want the lines from both sides to show up on each system. Any tricks for that?

The NTAC website has an SLNet help guide.
If you don'r have access pm me and I'll email it to you.
It has trunk sharing info in it.

I could not find a way to show individual trunks across network. I believe there is only the Trunk Access via Networking key (*06) which will not light up when trunks in the remote system are busy. The SLNet guide has a slew of considerations when working across network. Make sure to pay attention to those because some of them are quite important.

That's certainly a deal killer. Rather basic function in the other systems I've dealt with.

It is basically good for transferring calls back and forth.

Ok I have not installed any SL1100 but it shares a lot (software wise) with the SV8100. Netlink means there will be one main system and the other remote systems will receive their programming from there.
Lets say
Site A (main site) has 8 trunks 1-8 Site B 4 trunks 9-12 Site C 4 trunks 13-16
Your saying you can't go into program 15-07 *01 and assign trunks from site C to site A extensions or any other scenario like that?
