I have 12-14 year old Mitel SX-200 Digital system (looks like a microwave!?)and the TAFAS code has stopped working. In features it has an entry of #0, it is enabled in the COS of the console, superset and the Non Dial-In Trunks. I tried resetting the system, changing the code-no change. Anyone??

Okay, you're on lightware between 17 and 19.3. Good stuff.
Now, were there any changes to your trunks? Remember, TAFAS is "Trunk Answer from any station" so it won't work for Dial 0 calls.
If not, try a little voodoo: Change the code to, maybe *#3 or something, then from maintenance do a system shutdown and restart. See if if works. If so, put it back to #0 and see if it works.

I did try changing the code to 776. I also did a hard restart of the system. Neither worked. When you say reboot from Maintenance, what do you mean?

I take it you are not a Mitel tech. So, what we can do is give you some suggestions, but there are some specific programming and troubleshooting steps that should be done from the maintenance terminal that you may not be familiar with and would be beyond the scope of these forums.
What is being used to indicate TAFS? Is TAFS available during day, night and night 1? In form 19, what are your redirects? Is form 18 populated and what is there for night bell?
You said TAFS is enabled in the COS of console, superset and trunks. Has there been any programming relating to call forward and the associated timers? Does the system have Automated Attendant and voice mail? When a call comes in, what happens when you dial the TAFS code? What do you hear?

I have been certified on the Mitel digital system-- in the 1980's!! Not with a Mitel dealership now, but have a few legacy customers. When the TAFAS code is dialed, "No Access" is displayed with an error tone. In the trunk, console and SS4 COS's TAFAS access is enabled and TAFAS tenant access is disabled.I Haven't checked Program 19 or 18 as of yet.

If TAFAS in Day service is enabled, the feature ONLY works when in the day mode. What specifically is ringing, and who is trying to answer it?
