I have a single line phone on our system that is dead. On the DSS console at the operators desk, the station indicator is blinking rapidly. If you try to call the extension from another phone you get a station busy message. If you pick up the handset to make a call the phone seems like it is getting no power. What are some things I can check to troubleshoot this problem?
I hope I have given sufficient information. My system info is in my signature below. I also have two digital cards and two single line cards.

Sounds like it is shorted. I would disconnect the station cross-connect wires at the block and see if anything changes.

It turns out it was shorted. A crew installing a new fire alarm did it unknowingly.
