Hi, I have a ECS system with All Ix-5930 IP phones, software ver 8.00(R.03) and the MBU is ver 1.23 With one 8citk with 5 analog lines. I have a annoying echo when I use the trunks, if I talk quietly it isnt bad, but once I talk loud the echo over powers the caller. What is my problem?

Set the db switches away from the default setting on the trunk card for the lines you're using.
Sometimes the thoughts in my head get so bored, they go for a stroll through my mouth. This is rarely a good thing.

The only real way to be rid of it is to change your trunks from analog to PRI or SIP

You might have to switch the 8CITK card out for an 8UNTK card, which have echo-cancellation. We've had good luck with these when customers switch to IP phones but keep their analog trunks.

Thank you for the suggestions, It did help changing the db switches for the most part. I may switch to the universal trunk card if it continues to bother me.

I installed the 8UNTK and made a difference.
