In my part of the world it's not over the counter sales. (must be a support nitemare) Our dealers sell SL1100 up to SV8500 plus the SL system here is one chassis so selling DT300 series phones makes sense as there is an upgrade path to a 8100..

The SL1000 is a hybrid system but the phones are 4 wire so the DT300 would not work..

The NEC SL 1100 was introduced to the North American market in a raw state.It is single pair wire matrix for the keysets.

Paul,even thought your present system is 4 wire and hybrid,we have other systems here in North America were also 4 wire hybrid such as Panasonic, Lucent, ETC. Which will do digital/analog.
It seems you have a very valid request which in imo also should be implemented for your DT 300 series as your systems are distributed by Dealer only.

Coral does have a true statment concerning the North America market.

The Sl1100 was not introduced here as a prime time system but as a stop gap for not having supply of the DSX system. (Flooding in far east).As they say no wine until its time

The issue here in North America is modification of the SL1100 to allow the DSX series phone to function on the KSU.

No we don't do the SL1000 only the 1100 which like the US market is a raw system using 2 wire phones to replace a hybrid system called the Topaz or XN120 as it was called in Europe.. The SL1100 sell quite well here with the smaller dealers who's customers can't justify a SV8100. I see your point in allowing the DSX phones to work on the SL1100..

The way I look at it with the SL1100 cost coming in under the DSX it would seem NEC is going to fade out the DSX.
Software on the SL blows past the DSX by a long shot so why waste time and money on a inferior system, were not.

The US site says nothing about the DT330.
