Anyone on AXXESS considering moving to something other than the Mitel 5000 or 3300? What is a comparable system in that size space that is a good fit?

If you liked the Axxess go to the 5000. Similar programming with tons more features added to it. The new HX 6.0 Mitel 5000 controller has a huge benefit list compared to the Axxess. Contact your dealer. The upgrade is easy from the Axxess to the 5000 and you may even want to keep your old phones. Why would anyone want to consider anything else? smile

The price points I am seeing for the 5000 even with the same phones are very high. We are looking at alternatives to this as an IP only option.

This is the last PBX that Mitel has with digital phones. Is it on its way out?

How could the 5000 be more expensive than the 3300?

It is because of our requirement for redundancy. Mitel is stating that you have to literally buy TWO 5000s to be redundant, whereas the 3300 has this as a part of its structure. In a new building we are moving to, we will have to move to IP also, due to the wiring structure, so we will have to replace the digital phones, which of course adds a large chunk to make it equivalent in that regard to the 3300

Gotcha. I think the 5000 has been an afterthought to Mitel over the past 7 years...

That has been my impression too. They state that it has a 10+ year lifespan left, but I am not so sure.

The Axxess has been around 20 years so you never know...
