Those are connectorized RJ71C jacks. They provide a series T&R connection for up to 12 CO lines each. They are typical for door-answering and gate-control intercom systems for multiple tenant environments.

In trying to search Enterphone phone more it appears it may have gone to a company Viscount in B.C. try www.viscount.comThey have enterphone listed but new product Maybe they have manuals on yours. Good luck

"the black, rectangular things in the upper righthand corner that appear to be attaching to the blocks" are simply Amphenol connectors where the cable exits the top of the housing instead of at a right angle.
