Just aquired a new customer w/MICS & 4 port flash. There is a phone in the PBX closet that no one uses & is being used for sales calls. That phone appears on other phones via answer DN keys. The phone only rings 3 times & takes a message. They are trying to extend that ring timer a few more rings. I have turned off or extended all the fwd to vm that I could find for that extension (in capabilities), yet calls to the phone continue to only ring 3 times. Do the answer DN's effect the fwd of the phone? Is there another foward setting somewhere? Any info/assistance is appriciated. Thanks in advance.

Check to see if that ext is in a ring group.

Check the Delayed Ring Transfer.

It does go to the voice mail of that phone - correct?
If not then another phone is in control of sending it to VM.

Check the CFNA ring count on all other sales sets that have an Answer DN key, make sure that the closet set ring count is equal too or shorter then the sales sets and that CFNA is not programmed on any sales set that does not have a mailbox associated with it.
