I've installed Polycoms and Units made by ClearOne. Never heard complaints on either brand. Clear One Max Wireless is probably my favorite. The range is real good and the clarity is awsome.

Polycoms have really come down in price in recent years and it's a darn good product. US Robotics makes a good conference phone too. Because these devices are analog, and your current endpoint is digital, you'll need to have a SLC or SLC16 in your cabinet. Pull the cross connect off the digital card and punch down to the SLC and you're good to go.

I've got a Konftel unit setup as it hooks directly into the headset port of the phone. Most of the other units need to work on a SLC or a direct copper line. Also with this Konftel unit you can still use the regular phone by picking up the handset. Their website is: https://www.konftel.com/default.asp?id=1602&PTID=&refid=1124 I think there is someone else on this forum that has used this product too as thsi is where i got the reference from and it's worked out great! - Andy

My boss just asked me to get an audio conferencing phone and set it up. I will probably be getting a Polycom IP4000.

The best thing to do is contact your dealer as most programming and configuration (unless you have some training in it that is), would be beyond the abilities of most end-users to do. Your dealer can probably recommend the endpoint (though what has been mentioned in the previous posts will work just fine). . I will probably be getting a Polycom IP4000. The IP4000, unless I have the wrong phone in mind, is an IP phone. What you would need is an analog phone. I don't think you can use a Polycom IP phone with an Axxess...
