Folks,
I am not as skilled with NEC systems (as some others), but agreed to help a customer who just purchased the business. I have one issue I can't resolve.
The system has three lines and about 6 stations. all phones appear to have default button assignments.
ON X301 both buttons 1 & 2 have line 1 appearing. I've checked all the configuration entries that look like they could be involved, and all extensions look the same.
For some reason, X301 functions differently.
Any guidance will be appreciated!

I hope you will be doing this on a laptop as its more visual
and 2121 has a drop down list of functions you can assign per key
per phone or copy
i can pm you a place to get admin software download and
you need a usb cable
