Greetings,
What ports need to be forwarded for SPnet to the MCP and OAS card? At the sites the set that's called rings but the calling set hears no ringing and then no user response shows in the calling sets display. The customer moved from a working circuit to a new carrier and thought they just needed to plug into the new providers "box". Weird thing is today we tried to temporarily move them back to the old provider and you can hear ringing at the called and calling station but no speech audio.
Thanks,
John

this is how we do it.
30000-300032 UDP to the OAS card (when set to MGI) as that carries the voice.
9000-9001 UDP
6000-6001 UDP
6100 tcp
the last three ports go to the systems IP. we have come across where some routers/system doesn't like the port forward being set to both tcp/udp (not sure why but setting it to only whats needed works)
hope that helps you.

Thank You. The set up we have is an Adtran NetVanta 3448 on both sites that we don't have access to, today the IT guy came in we asked him to port forward 30000-30032 to the OAS card he said that's not the problem the ports are open. He did something then it started to work but claimed he did not forward the ports to the OAS card, is that possible?
John

For the OAS card you forward

30000-30031 (UDP) MGI
40000-40127 (UDP) MPS
45000-45127 (UDP) RTG

For the MP card you forward

6100 (TCP) for spnet (6100-6102 for OS7030)
6000 (UDP) for IP phones
8000 (UDP) for WIP phones

You don't need to forward 9000-9001, this is the RTP/RTCP ports used by the IP phones at the phone end.
6001 isn't used.
