I have a CIX40 with a LVMU and when a user selects an extension or option in the voicemail, it waits about 4-6 seconds before the actual transfer. Is there a timer that can shorten this delay up? I am a tech and have both emanager and voicemail admin software, i just can't seem to locate the timer. I assume it is in the voicemail.

thanks

I think what you are looking for is the chain delay. its probably set to 50 (which i think is stock) I have mine set at 10.

I tried dropping that to 10 when i was there and it didn't seem to affect the delay. So i'm wondering if maybe i didn't change the correct box. I thought the Chain delay only affected callers that don't press an option and you use that to complete the chain done option. maybe i misunderstood that and i will try to adjust this again.

thanks, will keep you posted

Look at the tmo_dtmf parameter in system parameters of the LVMU.

You can define the max number of digits for 0-9 to any amount so if you have 3 digit ext. starting with 2 you can change the max digits for 2 to 3, So as soon as someone enters an ext with 2XX it would immediately transfer. If your using 1 digit selections you can make those 1 but they can't conflict with any 3 digit mailbox leading digit. This is in the system parameters at the very end.
