hello,

so i have recently acquired a vertical instant office and some phones as a hobby project. i'm having 2 problems that maybe related to the same thing. i seem to be missing a few files in the web management front end. specifically for the auto attendant. the files are missing in the c:\inetpub\wwwroot\IOAdmin\cms\admin\content

i don't know if anyone is using this system as it doesn't seem to popular but if anyone can send a copy of the files in that directory or better yet a rebuild cd that would be great.

second problem is voice mail stops working after awhile ~10 min after the system boots. but ill look into that later.

thanks

That's a rare system. There has never been a large number of those installed, and often the ones that are installed lack basic things like software CDs and documentation. Quite a few have been orphaned in place with nobody around to support the system.

I believe Vodavi designed that system and not Vertical (though anyone can correct me if I'm wrong) and was available around the time Vertical acquired Vodavi. But, the system simply didn't make it in the market.

Vertical doesn't offer any manuals or docs on the dealer website / FTP site. When Vertical runs across those systems they change them over to Wave.

Instant Office was from early Vertical Networks. It predated Artisoft Televantage, Vodavi, Comdial acquisitions. Hardware architecture similar to the new Wave 2500.

Never saw one live in the field. Hacky is right about it being pretty rare. Mostly sold through data VARs at that time.

I would rather go to the dentist than deal with the Instant Office/Wave. Look at Asterisk / Raspberry Pi for a hobby project.
