I think you would have to rig something up to rack mount a SL1100. If you did somehow rack mount one it would be a major pain to manage.

I did one at a fire hall here in Buffalo. i replaced an existing Toshiba. All I used was a blank fill in plate for a data rack to mount it to. No biggie. Don't see why you couldn't do it with 2 cabinets if you had the room.

I mounted a key system on a plywood board using the wall mount brackets. Cut the board to fit a 13" rack. Added blocks to the back and screwed it down in the rack. It made a nice neat package.

And no upgrade path if you out grow it. Fine for small company say 20 stations but beyond that go fo the 8100 at least in my part of the world..

I have several customers on the SL1100 with 70-80 phones & still room to grow.
