Hey all:
I have a client with an aspire s system that has 16 ports of TDM phones now and needs to add more phones. From what I can see, they are maxed on TDM ports but I could add some hardware to give them some amount of IP phones....my question is do I need licensing for that, or is 16 or so IP seats inherent to the system, and all I need is the specific extra hardware.

You can add 8 more digital phones to a max of 24 on the Aspire S. For what it would cost you to add a media gateway card you would be better served moving into an Aspire M or L.

I have worked on NEC's for about 20 yrs, but this is my first Aspire client and I felt a bit lost.
