Ok, we have from what I was told a very old inter-tel system and the company we had that supported it will no longer support the system. I started with the company in Feb of this year and was hired on as IT support.
With that being said, we have three users that lost their VM. When you try to access the VM it will tell us the number is not vaild. So, while trying to figure that out the past few days the user just called this morning with another issue. Her extension is gone altogether now. When we to call the number it tells you "The number you entered is not vaild."
I did notice that when the tech was out the last time for the same issue he had some software that he used to get into the system. I am guessing it was the Session Manager?
My question is how can I purchase that software? I have found the instruction on setting up extensions and that kind of stuff we just need the software to do it. Below is all the information I think is important.
I see 4.0 on the CPU Axxessory VM unit I'm guessing I also see 550.9017 on a white sticker on the CPU
Please understand I am by no means a phone tech and don't claim to be. The company I work for is not in the spot to buy a whole new system and since the support we had will not support it anymore. My people think IT support means anything that has wires running to a wall. LOL just kidding but they do want to see if I can atleast get them back until they can have the funds to upgrade the system.
If you need anymore information please let me know where I might find it and I can get it.
Thanks Wade

v4.0 is from the mid 90s. I am sure if you upgrade your processor and vm with refurbished equipment it will be less expensive than buying a new system.
