We get a lot of these. We've spoken to another dealer that has a high turnover as well. There used to be a 3 year warranty in Australia that softened the blow somewhat, but that has now been withdrawn with no increase in reliability. Surely we aren't the only dealers with this happening?

We have heaps of 14 buttons die, I've fund a lot fail after 14-18 months.
Last I spoke to Plant Communications about this, the issue was a part that was changed in the handsets due to some other issue.
I'll take it up with them again when i'm next speaking to their management.

Curious. where yours are made? Never had a 14 or 21 problem like that over here.

It's mainly since they started making them in Indonesia that the problem has happened.
Serial numbers start with s86. The ones made on Korea didn't have such a high failure rate, serial numbers starting with s2j.
I just had a customer have 3 out of 5 14b phones die within 18 months of install.
