Installing my first SL 1100 with 12 CO lines and 23 digital phones. The customer wants to keep a record (data) of incoming and out going calls. Is the Communication Analyst the best software from NEC for this?

Comm Analyst is the only call accounting software that I know of from NEC, you might want to also take a look at Insight XPS from National Telephone. We have been demoing it a little bit in our office and it installs quickly and seems to work pretty well. National Telephone are the same guys that provide the InDepth software.

I've used Tapit from Trisys for years on several different manufacturers and its worked great

Another vote for Tapit.
Very easy to setup and use on the NEC systems. I've put them on 8100, 8300 and 8500.

We sell Com Analyst and it's a solid product and supported by NEC. Pretty much call accounting is just that on any one you buy and sell. We use another product for out other systems out there but I have to say from what I've seen Com analyst is better.

I loathe Com Analyst. We refuse to sell it any longer after several major issues with several customers.
Just my personal experience with the product.

I have heard good feed back for Tapit and will consider that. Since Comm Analyst comes with the SL 1100 for 30 days I might try it first and see what happens.
