Also in system when I try to put the info in I get failed to connect to FTP server go through a few things and the info seems to be there the system is a new 4.70 7100. Thanks, John 807

Also using either CMD or Putty can't telnet to the IP address of the 7100 it is pingable and I can program through OSDM which is where I get that can't connect to FTP Server error message. Tia, John 807

Your issue telnetting to the system is due to whitelists.

Nameless I have no entries in any of the whitelists. D I now need to add the IP address of my laptop that's on the network? Thanks, John

We've been using inbox.com very successfully as an SMTP relay. To find out the IP address of inbox.com in your area, ping smtp.inbox.com We use port 587
Set up an account, they're free. We use the same account for most customers.
Works great and works consistently.

Thanks, I found an article using Gmail. I'm going to try that if that doesn't work, I'll try your suggestion.

FWIW I can't get this to work with inbox or anything else. I set the info in mclass and system and no matter what I do authentication fails. Not sure where I am going wrong any pointers in the right direction would be appreciated. Thanks, John
