We have call centers in Canada and the US. Each has dedicated voice T1s. The call centers wish to create a single Hunt Group reached by all inbound callers, and accessed by agents on both systems. That is not an issue. Networking is set up and both systems are licensed for multi node agents.
My question is what happens to the routing of the call. Say the HG is on PBX A, but the inbound call and connected agent are on PBX B. Does the call remain local to PBX B or does it route to PBX A and back to PBX B?

Our local support company answered this question. The call connection will take the shortest path. So, calls to the Canadian PBX, using routing applications of the US PBX, ultimately routed to an agent on the Canadian PBX will use direct routing within the Canadian PBX. It will not to the US and back.
