Hello all, been a while.
I am installing a 12 party conference bridge on a MICS 7.1 and just want to double check myself and see what others think.
I plan on adding a 0X16 then 6 VMI units NT8B89DA to get the 12 ports.
All extensions will be Call forward on busy to the next extension, build a hunt group with all 12 ext in member DN.
does this sound right or am I missing something?
The reason for the VMI is for the disconnect supervision.
two concerns that I do have is will it interfere with the call pilot 150 and how many VMI's can I install on the MICS?

let me know what you think.

Thanks

Busy or dont know how to answer the question and its has not been 24 hours yet.

I will take a stab...

-You can have a max of 10 VMI's on the KSU.
-Just use the Forward Busy, not Huntgroups.
-I dont see it interfering with vmail.

Depends maybe on which Bridge you are using too?

Using a Conference company is far a better option and you will not suffer the dreaded volume loss on conference calls or tie up 12 lines.

I didn't answer because I am not sure of the answers. But I was going to answer with the best I could - but then Curlycord said everything I was going to say.
So for now I will say..........DITTO.

If you want a perfect conference bridge, use hosted VOIP. The company I am using has a perfectly simple deal.

You get intercom, dial 70000, put in a password and create a conference bridge. Anyone else can call in and be transferred to the bridge at extension 7000, 10, 20, 30 as many lines as you have on your system.

NO CHARGE. No equipment.

Curlycord,
Just curious as to why you wouldn't put the ports into a hunt group.

Because you only need one port to answer at time. Why tie up all ports for one call.

Although if you build the hunt group sequential it will send the call one port at a time.

If you feel the need to use HG's for some reason then do it, not sure why you asked about.
Not a word more from me.

Good luck with your project.
