Hi there -

Just wondering, on the 3x8, 6x16 and 8x24 Norstar systems, is it possible to change the extension number from, for example, 21, 221 or 2221? Or do they have to remain correspondent to their ports?

You can do so by changing the DN length to 3 digits but you will also need to rebuild voice mail boxes as they are 2 digits.

I think you were meaning something different.
When you do a start-up, then you can pick what extension number range you want to start with.
The default is 21,221,etc.
But you can select any range you want.
You can use for a starting range for example: 300, 438, 572 etc...
But be careful - some number ranges will mess up your Dial 9 for line pool, may have to use a 6 or 4 or etc..
And if you use 100 - 102 for a starting point, then you can mess up your General Delivery and System Voice Mail boxes.

Now if you don't want to do a StartUp, you can change an individual ext number using Change DN.
