Hello all,
I have just moved in to a new office and had our phone lines installed. The previous tenant had a meridian phone system with the handsets that they left when moving. Our BT Engineer installed our new lines through the meridian system so that we could use the handsets etc with our new number.
The only problem is that international calls are restricted and I need to unrestrict them somehow. I have been trying to work out how to do this, using the handsets but am having no luck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Probably the way the old tenant had it programmed. Suggest that YOU call in a tech that knows Nortel to reprogram the system the way you want. Worth it in the long RUN and you'll probably need him later anyway so best to make contact BEFORE you have major issues.

There is also a small chance that BT is blocking Intl calls, but if they are not then yeah, call a tech. Restriction programming is a litlle more advanced then setting the time, changing a name etc.

When the phone system is restricting it will show RESTRICTED on the display and generate a short solid tone at the same time.
