I just replace a Partner mail pcmia card with a Partner Messaging module (v1.0). It is installed in an ACS v3.0. I have reprogrammed the group 7 assignments to the correct ports and disabled the old ports (78,79). The Messaging module works, but does not answer with the customer recorded a greeting for Autoattend 1 - Day and Night. It answers with a prerecorded message. #505 ports assigned, #506 delay ok, #507 set to always, #206 group 7 all lines assigned. The vmail answers correctly with a different cabinet (v6).??

What extension ports did you assign to HG7 and what is the card setup in the carrier? How may ports is the P.Messaging? Is the message heard the default AA greeting or "Transferring to Operator"?

The V6 cabinet uses ports 38-41 (processor,308,012,vmail) The V3 cabinet uses ports 34-38 (processor,308,308,vmail) I "think" that it said that the caller was unavailable and that the call was being transferred to the operator. This was a business hours upgrade and the gal who called in to check the greeting freaked a bit - so I put it back to the way it was ASAP.
The only thing that I noticed that I had missed was the no answer return (#306) vmail ports were not set to return to extension 10.

If the voicemail is an Avaya Partner Messaging, the ports should be 34 through 37. Try removing 38 and see what happens.

I'm sorry I meant 34 to 37. (4 + 4 = 7) That is one of the things that I checked when I reviewed the programming. I am also wondering if the pcmia card needs to be removed from the processor. Nothing is directed to ports 78-79, but I wasn't sure if the messages and programming would remain in the flash memory if I pulled the card from the processor. Next logical step, but will I have to reprogram and rerecord?

If the Partner Voice Messaging PCMCIA card is still installed in the front of the processor...then yes...remove it. Also direct select the voice mail ports to make sure that the system answers correctly.

Will the PCMCIA card retain programming, recordings and messages when removed from the system?
Ports were directed to the Messaging card and it was answering from an extension. I could access by dialing 777 and by dialing the ports directly (34,35,36,37)

I need a little more clarification... Is the Partner Voice Messaging card still seated in one of the slots in the front of the processor....at the same time there is a 4 port license inserted in the front of the Avaya Partner Messaging module
