I'm very limited with my Mitel experience, so if this is a dumb question, I apologize.
I have a weird application with several LDNs, several locations and 2 distinct types of business models. That said, it's time (I think) to abandon our Option 11C and misc other hardware and go with one system that covers everything.
My serious stipulation is that I want "real" attendant consoles, not soft consoles or regular multi-button sets with a scad of add-on key strips.
That said, I came across the 5540 IP Console, and thought it looked promising. The literature indicates if I have the wireless headset in my ear (I currently wear it all day) the console won't ring. Is that true? Do I really have to put the headset back on the charging cradle between each call? Boy, does that sound like a nag.
Also, I'm looking at the SX200 ICP. If I have 3 consoles, does an incoming call ring to all three at the same time, so the first available attendant can answer, or does the system distribute calls (ACD-style) like the Option 11?
Again, sorry if this is basic stuff. The last time I regularly worked on Mitel was 10 years ago, and even then it was SX50s in a chain of motels. Not exactly current technology, even then.
Thanks for any advice!
