Using Inter-Tel Axxess and have not encountered this problem before. Two new phones I added today are getting the error message "ARS is Unavailable" when making an outside call. Does anyone know any possible solutions to this problem?

It means one if the following: 1.All of your lines are being used, 2. Your T1 is offline, if you have one. 3. Your amphenol is unplugged. 4. Bad programming, out goung parameters aren't right, wrong trunk group, wrong outgoing choice, that's kind of the same thing, but there is a small differnce. let's see what else...you don't know what you're doing, just kidding, telephone humor...that's all I can think of, I've been drinking. If turned on, turn off ARS only on those two sets, dial the trunk group access code and see what happens, that will point you in the right direction. Hope that helps.
But if they are the only fones doing it I would go for number 4, check your outgoing stuff.

Thanks for the response. I've tried the options you mentioned in number 4 as the first three weren't the issue, but am still having the problem. As much as I appreciate your humor, I only know what I'm doing a little bit, the phones aren't really my thing, I just know the basics. How would I turn off ARS if it's turned on?

sometimes I forget that the slash and burn humor that i and my it monkey colleagues beat each other with isn't everyones cup of tea, but then it's an ugly world, there's always the monastary, did I spell that right, maonastary, monastic, m-o-n-a-s-t-a-r-y, s-t-e-r-y, us fone guys aren't the most literate ones around. it guys only have to spell i-t or i-p or p-c, how tuff can that be? trying spelling fones real fast.....
