Is there a way to adjust the volume of the background music playing through the phone speakers?

If MOH is loud enough BGM should be ok.you can use 1 input for MOH and the second for BGM.

Thanks for the reply. Actually I asked that wrong. Is there a way for the volume to be adjusted individually on each phone in case some people want the music softer and some want it louder?

It uses the same volume setting as the speakerphone. Press speaker to draw dialtone or intercom tone and adjust it, then turn off speaker and you should notice a change in BGM volume.

I think I was adjusting the ringer volume (like the Toshiba system) not from the dialtone. I will try it with dialtone next time. Thanks

On a new SL1100 installation,.when the background music is enabled on a phone, the music plays on the idle phone but the phone's up and down volume key will not adjust the background music volume. Is there a setting for this?

For the up or down Navigation Key to be used for either the Background Music Volume or for the Display Contrast, adjust the following program for each extension:

15-02-60 Softkey/Navigation Key = Standard (Default setting is Advanced 2)

Note: 15-02-60's settings affects other features such as Personal Speed Dial and Contrast as well. For more details please refer to the SL1100 Features & Specifications Guide under the "Navigation Key" feature.

The Feature and Specifications manual can be located in Knowledge Base Article 8326.

Thanks. I will.

The owner of that company wanted to have some holiday music around the office (no overhead speakers). I will try your suggestions, thanks.
