Hi
A customer of mine has a system with one existing door phone & a Door Opening Controller. This is all programmed up, with the default of 6 opens the DOC (is actually for a gate). All Fine.
Now the customer has 2 gates (in and out) and would like to call the existing door phone & press another digit to open the 2nd gate rather than the first one (digit 6). They don't need a 2nd door phone at that gate and there is no cable. Calling the existing station and pressing a different digit would meet their requirements. Can you program a door phone for 2 different digits?
I hope I have the terminology right, as in Australia, we call some of the parts differently, so hope I translated correctly!
Thank you & Happy New Year.

Thanks K and HNY
The quick answer is no.
So yo can have up to 12 DOC's per Door Phone but you cannot put more than 1 Door Phone per DOC.
When you say no cable I presume you mean there is one for the door strike only?
1 Door Phone and 1 DOC would open both gates same time with same code if you looped DOC to both door strikes.
1 Door Phone and 2 DOC's (daisy chained) would open each gate separate based on 1 of 2 codes pressed.
"Can you program a door phone for 2 different digits?" I am not sure on this but I believe if you use 1 Door Phone and 2 or more DOC's that use their own code then be aware of the Open key softkey on the telephone, it will only open the digit that was programmed and the DOC that has the same digit programmed (DIPs), and why the answer is no.
Example: Entrance Gate Door Phone X400 DOC DIP's set to 6
Exit Gate DOC DIP's set to 7
To Open the Entrance gate press OPEN or 6 To Open the Exit gate call the front gate (DN400) then press 7
If it seems too complicated for the customer then install the Exit door phone in the phone room since nobody needs to communicate with it (DN401)
To Open the Entrance gate answer (or call X400) press OPEN (or 6) To Open the Exit gate call X401 and press OPEN (or 7)
Hope I got that one right.

Thanks Curlycord
I haven't forgot this, just my customer is still away. Probably going down the '2nd door phone at the equipment method', as they have other equipment connected & I don't want both gates to operate at the same time.
