Hello,
I have been told that there is no way to back up voicemail files and or Audiotex files. We have mostly EVMCs We have had 2 instances where the Hard Drives on the EVMC have bit the dust. I have been told there is no way to backup the voice processor files unless you are physically at the site with an external floppy. We would want to backup user mailbox voice files and Audiotex files Can anyone help me out? Thanks

We have been replacing almost all of our EVMC sites with the 5000 product. There are some nice advantages for both the cusotmer and the vendor.

The best way is to purchase a USB to laptop HD adapter, remove the EVMC, remove the HD and connect it to the adapter and backup the C:\Avdap\DB folder.
Obviously the voicemail will be down while this is done, but it really doesn't take that long.

There is also software that your dealer can provide on the OS/2 versions that will back up to a ZIP drive as well.
