The company I work for has recently bought a mp5000 system to keep on hand incase the one we have goes down. I'm trying to get into it with VMMI to set it up, but it keeps tellng me to check communcation parameters. I have verified that the com port and baud rate are the same. What I'm wondering is if there is anything I have to do to it so I can get into it. Not sure on what position the dip switches need to be in on the CPU board. Thanks!

Hello, Im about to try to log into my first Comdial MP5000 as well and wanted to review posts about this unit and came across this message. Should I be Concerned about dip switch setting to log in??
We now are in charge of the School Dept phone systems as well and we have one comdial mp5 left that We will be replacing in june. But I have to make some very basic changes to such as just adding some extensions. If there was a way to do it from the main telephone I could do that but I can not find any manual to help me. They asked to add a few extensions so the resource Officer can call out a school lockdown
