We have a customer who has an Elite 48. Customer recently switched incoming carriers. Previous carrier brought the analog trunks in on copper, new carrier is Shaw Cable (Canada) and they use a Digital Phone Terminal (DPT). Incoming caller ID worked fine on the previous carrier. Now customer intermittently does not receive caller ID with the new carrier. When we connect an external caller ID box to the line, caller ID shows fine, but on the NEC phones it shows "Out of Area", this is an intermittent problem. Has anyone came across this before? If so, what was the solution, if there was one?

That's a thought. We have not done that yet, will try. Thanks for the idea.
