Hello,
Is there a full proof way to test an AMP? I had one stop working recently. There was a lot of static at first over the loud speakers and now nothing. We have a cisco phone system integrated with the paging system. I can still dial the paging number and get tone over the phone so I know from the phone system to the amp, everything is good. Model of the AMP is Bogen TPU250

Plug a toner into the tel input on the amp and see if you get tone out of the speakers

If you get the TPU250 manual on line, you will see how to properly adjust the ALC. This is usually the problem. If you put any input into the amplifier you should get indications on the LEDs as well as you should hear the amplified source. If you do not hear anything, then you have a defective amplifier.

You also might try connecting 1 known good speaker to the output and testing. You might have a bad speaker or a wiring fault out to the speakers.

Had a one in a million case where previous installer used wire nuts to terminate speakers to cable and left cable laying on a ceiling grid in a grocery store. This grid happened to be the one they would attach and change banners. Got a call for paging down and discovered that the wire nut fell of one lead and the connection got pinched onto the space between the metal grid and the ceiling tile.

Also check out the advice above but this is something else you can check.
