Have been trying to use modem part of the program on tool But I get a message saying :login failure unknown source I have tried 3 different computers 3 different software versions 1.0 1.3 & 1.8 All with the same results It does not ever access a phone line

to put it another way Using the windows version of program tool selecting the modem option when you click on connect it waits a short time then returns with the message log in failure unknown source dos version works fine

You need to tell it which com port and other parameters.

I don't think the Windows version supports 7.

I can use the dos version with no problem Have checked the peramaters they are the same as what I was using on my other computer before it crashed it does not access a line before getting the error message login failure unknown source
