My customer has a Comdial Small Office Lite system working along with their Comdial Impact system. I checked the reference material for this voicemail system for a feature request the customer has, but I had no such luck.
The customer would like to have the Auto Attendant answer the inbound call (night service), and offer multiple options and once an option is selected, (i.e. for maintenance, press 9). Upon pressing 9, the caller is to be transferred to the pre-programmed phone number to speak with a live representative.
The only capability I saw in the reference material is a pager function, which will obviously not work.
IF- the voicemail system cannot provide the feature requested, they wanted to know if there is a device that could be placed between the phone system and the LEC to intercept the calls and forward to the recipients as needed (a basic automated attendant). The customer had expressed that a new phone system is out of the question.
I hate putting a bandaid on a hemorrhage, but this is what the customer wants.

Sure it will work. Look at your night answer box...you can make it do what you wish by programming the appropriate number on the touch pad.
