ok a cix40 with Gvph isdn2 lines cli shows on the phones screen and is spoken to you on any msgs it takes (if cli is incoming)
I have installed a Gvmu on a Cix100 as per the Toshiba manual and a few other ways to try to get it working but there is no Cli recorded on the msgs and the phone screen says unknown. The cli is incoming as I can see it on the incoming call and the history buttons log the ans calls ok but when you listen to the msg's of missed calls there is nothing there for the Cli. The Voicemail Gvmu works fine apart from this.
so does a Gvmu log Cli like the Gvph they are both Smdi and I am presuming work the same apart from call recording which you cant do on a Gvmu only a Lvmu
I have looked thro the first 100 pages on here and not really found anything

The GVMU card had always been sold for the now retired CTX-28 in the United States, but is that different in the UK? I search around and it seems like I see the GVMU in a Strata CIX 100. I couldn't find an install guide for the UK.
Either way the settings should be the same if it accepts caller ID. Look in Voicemail Data to enable the CIX to pass the callers information to the voice mail system. On a CIX40 this is usually already set as a default.

I have the UK install guide and have set it all up as per what it says but cli don't come on msgs like on the gvph. Here in the UK the gvmu is still supplied as a budget VM card on small systems

That is interesting about the GVMU in the UK.
Look in Program 579 Voice Mail Data. Enable PRG 04 and see if that works.
This also works for other voice mail systems that use SMDI integration

prg 04 already done as I said it all works 100% apart from the cli on msg playback

In the GVMU Stratagy System Parameters look for "play_caller_id" it might be set to false.
