Hi there,

We are making a ton of network changes, one being a migration of most of our IP5122C-SD phones which are currently using static IP addresses, to DHCP with reservations.

I've been searching this forum, any available manuals for the handset I could find and the CIX programming guide, and I haven't found any thing at all.

Is there any way to send the IPU IP address to the handsets via DHCP options or some other method? Do I have to manually program IPU values into every phone along with the extension number?

The good news is , yes there is.
The bad news is that the phone's firmware needs to be high enough (5Kx-M2P2), the phones need to be factory reset, and it could take a bit of time to create the Hexidecimal string.

Since the phone is factory reset, you would need to reenter the extension number after the phone comes back up. There is a feature to auto assign extensions to the phones, which is a great feature if you want to randomly assign extensions everywhere. Otherwise, don't use that feature.
