Horrible. My friend just lost his 54 year old brother two nights ago after two strokes.

When I joined the board in 2002 I’d been away from the equipment and installation game for quite a few years, I’d been sitting behind a desk remotely testing private line circuits and T-1’s. After I retired from AT&T I tried to find a few jobs that would interest me, one was with an interconnect, but no one wanted an old fart. So I decided to try it for myself, I was confident the knowledge was there somewhere and I had the technical ability to learn the new systems.
Russ was the first to jump in and help with some of my dumb questions and he was very nice about it. He even had me call him and he coached me a bit on what I had to look forward to. He never once turned down a question whether it was on the board or a phone call. It was that interaction that gave me the confidence to go it alone and I’ll be forever in his debt.
I felt I needed to share this and I hope it helps Tom and family in some small way. I’ll truly miss Russ and his unbiased opinions on every topic that he graced us with his wisdom. God Bless Russ. Rest in Peace my friend.

It's so sad to hear of his passing. He was always such a helpful guy. Prayers are with you and your family, Tom.
