I have a customer site who is suddenly experiencing some strange issues with voice mail. Since installation 5 years ago they would push a night button, AA would pick up and they would press 1, 2, 3 etc to transfer to a persons extension, after no answer at any of those extensions those voice mail boxes would then pick up. The customer said for the past week or so now that the extension just rings and VM does not pickup. I checked all no answer/busy forward setting for those extensions, which had nothing. I made them V440. Did this for both day and night. Also checked timer and it is set for 6 seconds. However still when you call in, AA pick up, you can transfer to one extension and VM picks up immediately. A message is left it then lights up the VM light on both that extension (108) and (100). I did get the 2nd of the 3 extensions to pickup after 6 seconds, but the third still does not pick up. I hate to have to default the system and reprogram, but thinking it might come down to this? Also, I have quite a few of the STSe systems out there that the on-board backup battery has gone bad. Any suggestions on replacing those?

Not sure why the 3rd extension wouldn't pick up. Did you verify the station voice-mail ID is correct? And that there is a mailbox programmed in the flash voice-mail?

The batteries are fairly easy to replace. You just need some new batteries, a soldering iron, and your glasses.

I did verify the station voice-mail ID and that it is programmed. Where do you suggest getting the batteries from? I will have to reprogram anyhow after replacing the batteries.

But yah, strange issue.

Could be something as simple as the special mode is not programmed and that is being turned on.

I usually just get them from Ebay or Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0086KTBJC/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I buy my batteries from BatteriesPlus at my local strip mall.
