I have a Vertical Wave T1 connected to a Siemens 9006 PBX configured as wink start. Occasionally when calling from the Vertical the call will be routed to the intercept hunt group. When monitoring I don't see any errors when I experience the trouble, just 'Searching ' then I'll connect to the intercept ext. I tried changing various outgoing timers from the Vertical, no change. About 90% of the time or better the call does go through. I never previously had trouble when the Siemens T1 was connected to a Verizon Cisco router (3750) with the same configuration. Unfortunately the Siemens PBX has no live monitoring or useful diagnostics. I don't know if it's wink timing that's intermittently off or something else. I wonder if I should be looking at timer settings? The T is running clean, no errors.

Do you have 2 way traffic on the T1 link? If so does the Siemens come in on line 1 and out on line 24? Trying to see if you're having a glare/call block issue due to busy channel trying to be accessed by the Wave.

Yes 2 way traffic, but the last 5 channels I have set for incoming only on the PBX, and I see the Vertical sends calls to the PBX in descending order. The PBX sends outgoing calls in ascending order, so there shouldn't be glare. However - the tracing does show glare sometimes when the call fails.

I'd set up trunk monitor on the Wave and do calls until it fails. Trace monitor should help diagnose. I'd disable the last 5 channels for a temporary test and see if you can still break it.

I set them up as immediate start both ways and there haven't been any failures.
