I have been retired for a while. I have been asked to program
a NEC Elite IPK phone system

7 phones, 3 ringing groups. GRP 1 ext 103, 104,106 Line 1-4 ring on these ext's

Grp 2 ext 107, 108 Lines 5-8 to ring on these ext's

Grp 3 ext's 101, 105 All (8) lines to ring on these extensions

I would appreciate any help.

Also.. is there a generic modem ext in the system where a call can be answered at a phone set and xferred to the internal modem for remote program

tnx

Day mode ring assignment is in MB 4-01. Night mode is 4-02. Programming is done via port number. At any display phone press FNC + 4 to read the station number and the port number. In MB 4-01, the port number is the number in the far left of the display. Each button represents a trunk number. So if you want trunk 5 to ring turn on line key 5 for that telephone port.

There is no built in modem. You would need to install a modem chip on the CPU. Then you would need the SAT program to use it.
SAT program can be downloaded at www.nectekhelp.com.

NOTE; for MB 4-01/02, green = ring immediately, red = delayed ring.

Even worse than that. The modem on the IPK1 is mounted on the MIFM card and if you have to buy one of those it will cost. I suspect you will have to find one on Ebay..

This should be a 10 minute change.

As stated above, program 4-01 is the program for ringing.

Ringing is assigned by port, not extension number. You can look up a port number by going to a phone and pressing [feature] then 4.

So extension 100 is likely to be port 01, X101 is probably port 02 and so on. This can change, so verify which phone is what port before changing your ringing.

You can scroll through MB 4-10 (station number to port) to find and record the station to port numbering.
