If you're familiar with the SBX, you really won't have a hard time with the Summit. While the interface is different, the programming is very similar. I would suggest that you go ahead and get one to play with.

I didn't either. Where did you get that from?

Now I see, I worded things wrong. I meant to say the largest Vertical "distributor" is selling more E-LG than Vertical. Sorry about that.

Thanks again for the feedback guys

Looking to get certified on the Summit this week

Will get a system shortly there after.

Hopefully the cheat sheets will be on V-connect. Scoured the site and downloaded a lot of the documentation. Some of the Power Points are pretty helpful right out of the box.

Derrick,
On another note you mentioned on a previous post you were installing a Summit with (9) of the 700 series phones. My guess is you went with the 24 button sets.
Obviously price was a driving factor of why you did not go with the 9000 series. Did you also go with them because the user interface is so close to the 4024's on the SBX from a training/user perspective?
Like the look of the 9000 series better. Price is obviously a consideration, but I always felt the 4024 looked sort of cheap and hated the wall mount bracket.
Considering the 700 series 24-button myself as they have 16 extensions and I figured it was easier to have the spare buttons for DSS use.

Thanks
Jon

It was a price consideration from my customer. The Edge wallmount bracket is a bit better than the SBX one, it is reinforced with a metal bar and costs less as well. I like the 9000 phone but I also like the menu wheel on the Edge phones as well as the bright blue display.
